Hi and Welcome to Jackie O’s Frames and Books
I have been blessed with a marvelous life, career, husband and family. I love to play tennis, sewing and knitting is a passion, recently have become hooked on MahJongg, enjoy reading and listening to books and the discussions at book club are a favorite too. I retired from 31 years of teaching and found that although I had all kinds of fun things to do, I still wanted more.
Jackie O’s (formerly Frame Femmes ) began, as do many small companies, with a single inspiration. My daughter Kim and I designed a fun funky frame and began the production process.
Between the mother-daughter bonding and the challenge to create, life was once again purposeful, fun and full. We went a step beyond the ordinary and our unique collectible frames were just the beginning.
Kim already had one little boy, our delightful grandson Ross, and was expecting her next son Max (the marvelous) when she began her quest for the perfect baby book. Not to be found, thus we created ours and we, along with many other moms and grandmoms out there, absolutely love it.
This led to the creation of our wedding book, admittedly not necessarily the proper progression, but brides enjoy the apropos captioning and inspirational quotes and pages which make their memories so personal and easy to keep.
Of course each new day inspires new ideas and products, so many others have been added, such as recipe books, magnet frames, magnetic memory boards, double frames, vacation frames and college items. The newest addition is the Baby’s Firsts book, can’t wait for that to come back, completed by some of my favorite clients.
Well, time marches on, its been 11 years now for the company and my daughter has moved on to the northern Michigan beauty with my two darling grandsons. Thus I have endeavored to continue the company on my own, but always funnel products and ideas through Kim. I miss our comradery and hours spent together but find myself too busy to dwell on it. I often nab one of my family to help me with shows that I do in upper Michigan.
The company represents itself through art shows mainly but the number of retail stores is growing rapidly and I am excited to say that I fill orders in so many different states. That is the beauty of the web.
My goal... to have nothing at all that looks remotely manufactured. Regardless of its function, every single item is created completely by hand and stamped with love. Each piece has a unique quality, but one where the final product does not scream “handmade” and yet is admired for its creativity and artistry.

Special Requests and Custom Orders
You may have something specific that you'd like me to do. I would be happy to. Sometimes it's as simple at incorporating a name or date of birth or a specific quote or saying on the baby or wedding book. The vacation frame beach rocks can also be changed per your request. These changes can be made with no extra cost to you. There is a place where you can specify this when you order. Please don't hesitate to do so. 
If you have specific color requests and do not see a book or frame that suits you, I can do my best to fulfill these requests as well. The special order price for that is $5. for a frame and $10. for a book. If you'd like, email those requests to me, be sure to include a phone number where I can reach you, or call me direct. That information can be obtained from the contact page. Oftentimes a customer likes to create her own phrases for the vacation frames, specific to an area etc. There is a one time $10. cost for that, additional frames ordered with that same strip are no extra cost.
