Whether you are treating yourself to a treasure, or choosing a gift for another, Jackie O's (formerly Frame Femmes) is a great place to look. Each one of my pieces is handmade with a distinctive unique quality. Items are cut from durable 1/8" masonite board and creatively covered with beautiful handmade paper. All of the frames and albums are made completely with acid-free materials and treated to withstand fingerprints and marring. Carefully chosen ribbon is discreetly added to enhance the product. This ribbon may be used to add a soft aesthetic touch and/or functionally as a hanging device. Unique charms add to the personality of each handsome frame, album and memory book. Quotations or sayings are lovingly applied to further personalize each artistic item. These quotes are each hand-written and stamped, thus adding that finishing touch for a special person or event.
I specialize in handmade photo frames, baby books and wedding books with flair and artistry. My collection is precious for babies and toddlers, trendy for teens, chic for brides and charming for all the rest of us. My favorite part of the business is losing myself in my workshop while I fiddle with so many fun papers and embellishments, in an effort to produce something stunning. Studying home decorating magazines and catalogs is a constant for me, always looking for the new colors and designs that emerge so that I can keep pace. Snapping pictures has literally become common place among us, a phone or a camera in nearly everyone's pocket or purse. Download it, clip it, fix it and "voila" you have a perfect picture for one of my frames. Best of all its easy to change and keep current. What a great gift or 'thank you'.
FRAMES for any person and occasion are the basis of the company. The children's frames include baby girls, boys and unisex. It has beautiful choices for the toddler age and on up to big girls and guys. Family is also well represented, you can choose for mom, dad, sister, brother, daughter and grandparents. Sometimes you just need a great frame for that special photo, I have a general category for those pictures. Friends frames with all kinds of wonderful quotes are available, and a huge favorite. Vacations lend themselves to numerous memorable photos, by far the most popular of which is the rock collection. A beach stone hand printed with a particular place or lake for instance is accompanied by a list of fun-to-do activities. Two popular Michigan universities are MSU and UofM, and I make these two types of frames for everyday sale, but don't hesitate to ask for your own favorite college. Quotations and phrases are a part of every piece, making it just perfect for a family member, friend or occasion.
The BABYBOOK, I must confess is probably my very favorite product. Moms, (and Grandmas too) love it and I occasionally hear how successful the finished product is and how easy it was for the journalist. Yes, they are completely made by hand, I truly love the design aspect and the creation of the project, but my goal is for the product to look clean and artsy, without the 'homemade edges'. Baby colors will forever remain the same, and if you love tradition, you can have it. If your taste is a little less familiar, you can have that too. Best of all the baby book is easy to use. Pages give you a gentle reminder of what never to forget in the growing years of your child. See the BabyBook product description for complete details. The pages are a white tiny bit flecked, 80# archival cardstock. The book lies flat and pages are easily removed for journalling.
BABY'S FIRSTS is my newest addition in the product line. It's a smaller book, also with 80# cardstock pages and as cute as can be. It is held together with fancy ribbons threaded through grommets. Your child's photo slips easily into the front opening to be the focal point of the book. A "growing poem" opens the book and the hand done borders on the otherwise blank pages contribute to the charm of the book. The purpose is to put a photo of the first time your baby does just about anything, whether it be typical or not, and journal your thoughts alongside. It's also in the growing stages so for now we'll see if its popularity warrants more cover designs but currently the blue for boy, pink for girl and green for uni are the pioneers and I hope you'll love them.
WEDDING BOOKS and thus weddings are typically sophisticated, formal or flowery. Most of my books run along this theme, however destination weddings and funky affairs are also becoming in vogue. I can create your special book. I use richly colored and textured papers and ribbons to create a treasure, worthy of the most cherished photographs, keepsakes and musings. Pages include all the pre-wedding happenings like dress buying or showers. It includes pages for guests to sign, making a separate guest book a choice. If you find some things not apropos for your wedding, simply remove the pages, no mess. Look at the product description for details on the pages. You don't have to be fussy, jot down those memories, change pen colors, it'll be a wonderful investment into your future.
